Me: Preston are you going to get close to the fire again?Preston: I didn't mamma, I didn't.
Me: hmmmmmmmmm.............
A couple night ago we got home pretty late and both the kids didn't fall asleep in the car. They like to move our rocking chair in front of the stove cause it's the warmest seat in the house. Well, we didn't see it happen, but Preston said Kira pushed him, which doesn't surprise me with this situation, cause they I'm sure were both trying to go for the warmest seat, well they were just to close to begin with and then this had to happen. It was really sad, he is such a tough boy, but this was hurting him badly. He's a happy boy again and even though it was tearfully hard for me to watch him go through all that pain, it was a lesson well learned. Up until then, he'd never gotten burned by anything, now I think he'll take it a little more serious when we tell him something is HOT!

Ohhhhh.. poor buddy! Burns are no fun!
Poor guy. I know it sounds heartless but this really is the best way for them to learn. Both of the boys have burned their fingers as we've always had a wood stove but they really do listen when we tell them it's hot now.
Glad to see it looks like he's feeling better.
Amber burned her finger by pulling the cord of my curling iron. I caught it, but not before she'd burned her finger... that was over a year ago, and she still stays about three feet away from anything she thinks is hot.
Awww, that's no good. Burns are scary! Our woodstove (while functional) is rarely used...our kids have learned about burns from irons and ovens. Ouch. Poor guy...it really does hurt.
Poor guy! Burns do hurt....we put up a gate around our stove before Owen could crawl because one of our friends little girl put her hands on it and burned them so baldly she's had to have a couple surgery just to be able to open her hand all the way the scar tissue was so bad.....scary stuff! Glad he is OK!
Poor guy!
Jude did not learn his lesson the first time.
He burnt his whole hand really badly at Grami and Grandpa's...screamed about it ALL day long. Two weeks later he did it all over again. Stinker.
We won't even mention what happened to Beaux when he was little...(let's just say there's a reason he has no butt.)
